GRANDS RAPIDS, MI This summer, West Ottawa wrestlers made their way out to Kenowa Hills High School for their 2nd Annual Summer Knights Clinic/Dual Series. Local area wrestlers gather together for over a 6 week period to train with West Michigan college wrestlers and coaches. The clinic is put on my the Grand Rapids Summer Knights Wrestling Club, an extension of the Kenowa Hills Wrestling Club. It's purpose is to provide training/competition opportunities to the Grand Rapids area. You can learn for about them HERE. Below is most of the technique that was shown.

Also, this summer junior wrestler Julian Jimenez competed at the highest level of competition for a wrestler, the 2017 USMC/USAW Cadet Greco and Freestyle Nationals in Fargo, North Dakota. For an entire week in July, Julian battled it out with some of the best wrestlers in the country. Each year the pinnacle of high school freestyle and greco roman wrestling in the United States takes place over a week in Fargo. The Junior and Cadet National championships will crown individual national champions in boys and girls freestyle and greco roman wrestling. Many of these all-americans and national champions will go on to greatness at the NCAA level and into the senior level world and Olympic Games. You can watch some of this matches HERE and HERE.
